Prof. Ying FAN,
Ph.D.

Dr. Ying Fan got her Ph.D. degree in system engineering. She is
currently a professor at the Institute of Policy and
Management, CAS. She visited Cornell University in the U.S.
as a visiting scholar from Feb, 2004 to Feb, 2005. Her
research and teaching field is System engineering, Complex
system modeling, risk management, energy finance, Energy and
environmental policy.
She has carried out over 30 research projects, published over 80 papers
in peer reviewed journals such as Energy Economics, Energy
Policy, Environmental Modelling and Software, Journal of
Policy Modeling, Technical Forecasting and Social Change,
Environmental Impact Assessment Review,Physica
A, International Journal of Global Energy Issues and
Computers and Industrial Engineering. She has received
important awards, such as research grant for distinguished
young scientists sponsored by National Science Foundation of
China (NSFC), Science and Technology AWARD of Beijing
Municipality sponsored by the government of Beijing
municipality in 2005 and 2002, Science AWARD of Hubei
Municipality sponsored by the government of Hubei
municipality in 2006, and Science and Technology Advancement
AWARD of Qinghai Municipality sponsored by the government of
Qinghai municipality.
